The Basics of Crash Injury and Biomechanics Description This seminar will provide an introduction to the subject, including terminology, and will outline the state of knowledge of the biomechanics of impact to the main anatomical regions, the circumstances under which trauma is generated, the effect of variations in the population on injury outcomes, and the consequences for occupant restraint and vehicle design.
